Land release

The Northern Territory (NT) Government is providing development opportunities through land releases across the Territory.

They are providing land to accommodate 6,500 homes and support economic development. This includes:

  • new greenfield residential estates under construction in Kilgariff in Alice Springs, Katherine East and Zuccoli in Palmerston
  • new industrial subdivisions under construction in Humpty Doo and College Road in Berrimah
  • new residential and industrial subdivisions constructed in 2015 in Kalkarindji and Tennant Creek
  • local business Halikos being selected to redevelop the Territory’s largest brownfield site (over 2,000 dwellings) at Berrimah Farm.

Auction of 35 Stevens Road, Knuckey Lagoon

35 Stevens Road, Knuckey Lagoon sold via public auction on 13 May 2023. The NT Government auctioned the property for residential and permitted uses consistent with Zone RL (Rural Living).

Auction of Bellamack residential lots

The Department of Infrastructure, Planning and Logistics is auctioning six residential land lots in the Palmerston suburb of Bellamack. The six properties for sale are:

  • Lot 15948 - 7A Clarke Street, Bellamack
  • Lot 16078 - 9 Magdalen Street, Bellamack
  • Lot 15952 - 191 Flynn Street, Bellamack
  • Lot 15953 - 18 Clarke Street, Bellamack
  • Lot 15950 - 8 Hyacinth Street, Bellamack
  • Lot 15951 - 1 Corry Street, Bellamack

Land development

The NT Government is also planning the development of the former grain receival facility located on Oolloo Road in Douglas Daly.

From February to April 2022, the Department of Infrastructure, Planning and Logistics sought expressions of interest to redevelop the site to support the agricultural and cattle industry.
