Richardson Park: request for proposals

This request for proposals (RFP) has been prepared by the Department of Lands, Planning and the Environment on behalf of the Northern Territory of Australia (the Territory).

The Territory is seeking proposals from community groups and sporting organisations to lease and redevelop the Richardson Park site in accordance with the existing OR (Organised Recreation) zoning.

The Richardson Park site (Lot 8434, Town of Darwin) is a 5.97 hectare parcel of Crown land located at 40 Richardson Drive, Ludmilla.

Most recently the site has been used as a sporting facility to host local rugby league events, and includes a grandstand, club rooms, gate house, car park and other buildings, as well as a rectangular sports field. At present the site is under-utilised and in some state of disrepair.

The aim of the RFP process is to identify parties who have a vision that will deliver the objectives sought by the Territory and the necessary skills, experience and capacity to deliver any redevelopment of the site.

Submissions closed on 17 May 2016 at 2pm ACST.
